ASTRO UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 2012

By webdev, 25-03-2016

Hi and welcome to the Stella Starwoman September AstroUpdate! And a special welcome to our new subscribers.

I’d like to say a big thank you to those of you who’ve purchased my new book The Seven Secrets of Magic & Manifestation. We’ve sold over 500 copies so far and the feedback has been very positive. The book is based on the teachings in my Magic & Manifestation Course and sets out step by step how to overcome blockages and manifest your dream life. I just had to share this exciting letter from former student Natasha, received a few weeks ago.

Hi Stella! So it’s been about a year since I did your manifestation course, and I have been non-stop busy with exciting photography jobs! I just quoted my first ever $10,000 job for a global campaign, most of all my clients have been rebooking me for jobs, so now I have a good steady client base, I’ve just been up in QLD for a big two day fashion shoot and my agent just informed me that July is going to be insanely busy as I have lots of big jobs booked in. I also went to Iceland over Christmas and had an exhibition with my photos from Iceland. I released a book as well, the sales of the artworks and books wasn’t quite as high as I had hoped, but opening night was a massive success, it was a packed night full of people and lots of good write- ups about the show. Part of me will always feel grateful to you and the course for all this success! Speaking of the course, I saw you released YOUR book, congratulations!! Love Natasha

Fifty Shades of Scorpio

With Venus in Scorpio, I’ve always been fascinated by the darker side of life. As a young woman, I devoured the books of the Marquis de Sade and enjoyed hanging out in the red light districts of London, Paris, New York and LA. These days a number of my clients are involved in the sex industry and some enjoy bondage and other S&M practices, though most tend to keep it private or hidden. How fascinating therefore that what has been a relatively taboo area of life has suddenly burst into the mainstream with the publication of Fifty Shades of Grey by Erika James, a 49 year old British housewife. Women all over the world are talking, texting and tweeting about the book with more than 40 million copies sold to date. And not only has the book’s content fascinated and transfixed women of all ages, because of electronic readers like Kindle, it can be read secretly in public!

Fifty Shades of Grey tells the story of a young college graduate who meets a fabulously wealthy and strange but attractive older man. They have a passionate affair during which she discovers her latent sexuality and penetrates his tough facade. Isn't that the plot of all romantic fiction from Sleeping Beauty to Pride and Prejudice to Mills and Boon? The only bit that’s different is the bondage element. So we have a powerful, wealthy older man and younger, inexperienced virgin. He dominates, she submits. In a nutshell, the myth of Hades and Persephone.

For those not familiar with the myth, Hades (Pluto), the fabulously wealthy and strange lord of the underworld snatches Persephone, the virgin daughter of Demeter, the earth goddess (Anastasia Steele in the book is a Virgo – born 10th September) and imprisons her in his underground world. (In Fifty Shades of Grey it's the Red Room of Pain.) At first Persephone wants to escape but then, having submitted to Hades, she ends up being his queen in the underworld for half the year (the dark side), and living with her mother for the other six months (the light side). This is an age old story - a fable of desire, power and submission portraying the shift from innocence to sexual maturity.

Fifty Shades of Grey was published in New York on 20th June 2011 giving its birth chart a Sun and Venus in Gemini with Mercury in Cancer. If we take the publication time as midnight, this puts the Sun in the 4th house with Neptune and Chiron rising in Pisces, sign of fantasy. The Moon sits in the 12th house in unpredictable Aquarius hinting at bizarre and taboo emotional experiences coupled with sacrifice and slavery going on behind closed doors! Gemini is the sign of the twins – the dark side and the light side - and Christian Grey the protagonist of the book is a Gemini, born on the 17th June.

The astrology and mythology seem to suggest that Fifty Shades of Grey is popular because it recounts an age old story while tapping into our collective desire for fantasy and escapism. But why this shift in sexual mores with suburban housewives suddenly interested in whips and dungeons?

Right now, we are in the middle of a series of squares between Uranus and Pluto. If we had to choose a planet of submission, bondage and dark desire, it would definitely be Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio. Uranus ruling Aquarius is a more kinky, shock factor planet, enjoying rebellion and difference. Back in the 1960s when Uranus and Pluto last connected in Virgo, a revolution swept away the old staid attitudes to relationships and sex that had previously existed. The current Uranus-Pluto square seems to have brought these issues back to life, but with a fresh twist.

With Saturn about to move into Scorpio in early October for two and a half years, (concurrent with the Uranus-Pluto square series), we can expect an explosion of interest in all things taboo, particularly of a sexual nature. After all Fifty Shades of Grey is part of a trilogy; Universal Pictures have signed up the rights to produce a mainstream movie and no doubt there will be an exponential rise in the number of ‘normal couples’ trying out some of the stuff in the book for themselves. At the very least this book will lift the veil of secrecy on a formerly private area of human existence. And just as there was a backlash against ‘free love’ in the late 1960s, we can also expect similar reactions from those keen to maintain the status quo.

Featured Sign - Virgo

The Sun travels through earth sign Virgo from 23rd August until 23rd September, the spring equinox. Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac with keywords “I discern” and “I seek order. Virgo’s symbol is the Virgin, the independent woman who answered to no man, but served the Goddess herself. Born to serve and heal, Virgos are noted for their calm demeanour, attention to detail, healing energies, love of nature and mastery of art and craft. When in balance, they are one of the most practical, kind-hearted and caring zodiac signs with an intuitive understanding of the mind- body connection. Usually blessed with fine minds, they are masters of research, data and language. Negatively, the Virgo individual can suffer from hypochondria, be over-critical, especially of self, highly-strung and prone to permanent worry and anxiety. Virgo rules the abdomen, intestines, spleen and central nervous system. When Virgos are out of balance they can suffer from nervous problems, and digestive disorders. Meditation, relaxation, gentle stretching, nourishing food and time in nature will help Virgo stay centred. The Virgo colours are earthy tones, green and dark brown. Virgo’s greatest lesson is to learn to be perfectly imperfect and accept imperfection in self and others.

September New Moon & Full Moon

The September new moon falls in health conscious Virgo on the 16th. Many will feel the urge to embrace healthier eating habits or start that spring fitness kick. This week we also have the second of the seven Uranus-Pluto squares happening between 2012 and 2015 with the first one back in June. If you find yourself feeling dissatisfied, restless or frustrated, consider the higher meaning of Uranus-Pluto - revolution. What part of your life could do with a complete overhaul?

September ends with a powerful full moon in Aries on the 30th. The sun and moon are always opposite each other at the full moon, but this month the moon is joined by erratic Uranus with both sun and moon making a T square to powerful Pluto. The polarity between Aries (the moon) and Libra (the sun) deals with balance and give and take in relationships. If your relationships are lacking in balance and you’re either giving or taking too much, matters will come to a head at this time!

North Node in Scorpio

After an,18 month journey through fire sign Sagittarius, the Moon’s North Node shifted into Scorpio in late August where it will remain until February 2014. Whatever erupts during the first month of the North Node’s foray into Scorpio will take on a doubly Plutonic theme as Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio also moved into Scorpio on the 24th August. This means that from late August to early October we have Mars (courage/confrontation) combining with the North Node (fate/destiny) in Scorpio (emotional extremes) an incredibly potent combination that will likely unearth all sorts of suppressed emotions, leading to insight and growth, but also to crisis.

Key Astrological Events - September

There’s no doubt that September ushers in an abundance of Scorpio energy that will be with us for quite some time. With Mars and the North Node already in Scorpio and Saturn about to move into Scorpio in October plus a Scorpio solar eclipse in November, any deep and dark secrets from will be revealed, like it or not! I don’t often quote Mystic Medusa but here’s what she has to say about the upcoming planetary energy: “The Scorping is nearly upon us!!! Scorpios, start your engines. Everyone else - the Scorpio bit of your chart is about go on super-human growth hormone from outer space.”

And Mystic Medusa is not wrong. Juno, the goddess of marriage and permanent relationship also joins the North Node for the first half of September in late Scorpio making us focus on love and commitment. With Venus in Cancer making a favourable aspect to Juno and the North Node, many will decide to marry or take their relationship to the next level, however Venus also clashes with serious Saturn, meaning decisions will not be taken lightly and there will be much focus on the practical and financial side of relationships.

Relationship planets Mars and Venus square off on the 27th in Scorpio and Leo, both fixed signs. This combination can create passion or fireworks, depending on your situation with neither side wanting to compromise.

Mercury the messenger and communication planet will be in ruling sign Virgo from the 1st-17th of the month – an excellent time for planning, paperwork, study and practical and business discussions. Mercury moves into Libra on the 17th, a sign of diplomacy and compromise.

Venus heads into fire sign Leo on the 7th until early October – time to overhaul your wardrobe for spring, try out that new look or hairstyle and plan enjoyable times with friends and family. Venus in Leo is a passionate, high energy sign, so expect your libido to increase in tune with the spring energy.

The 23rd September marks the spring equinox as the Sun moves into Libra, a dynamic and inspirational time of year when the days become longer than the nights. Symbolically this is a time to remain open physically and emotionally to prevent stagnation of energy and consider what changes or improvements you would like to see in your life over the coming months.

September Moon Calendar

Launch projects at the New Moon, bring them to completion in the period from just before the Full Moon to the Third Quarter phase and wind them down and reflect on developments in the week before the next New Moon. The period between the New Moon and the Full Moon is the waxing moon (moon getting bigger and fuller). The period between the Full Moon and the New Moon is the waning moon (moon getting smaller and thinner).

You can use this moon table to select the most favourable days to slow or increase hair regrowth. Full instructions can be found in my Lunar Hair Care guidelines at www.stellastarwoman.com/files/LunarHairCare.pdf but to get you started I've marked the best dates for waxing/shaving to slow regrowth in yellow and the best dates to cut hair for thicker, lusher growth in green. If you‟re serious about Lunar Hair Care - order your own Moon Calendar from the Stella Starwoman Store then you'll know exactly what time of day the moon changes from one zodiac sign to the next.
