ASTRO UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 2011

By webdev, 26-03-2016

Hi and welcome to the Stella Starwoman September AstroUpdate delivered to you at the Virgo New Moon. Well despite the last AstroUpdate taking EIGHTEEN DAYS to arrive as a result of a problem with my mail server (under Mercury retrograde of course), many of you thought it was worth waiting for and I‟ve had lots of excited letters from readers who loved the sacred site and crop circle stuff and agree that „The Spirit‟s In the Land‟. If you missed last month‟s AstroUpdate, click here to read it.

The Spirit’s In The Land

Chris sent me this email which I thought you might find interesting.

“Hi Stella, I bought the book New View Over Atlantis by John Michell that you mentioned in your last update - I found it interesting indeed, but it got me wandering about ley lines in Australia. One afternoon I was watching the sun set over Mount Dandenong, (the view from the kitchen window looks straight at the mountain) so I googled Mount Dandenong ley lines and voila! Mount Dandenong, Mount Macedon, The You Yangs, Mount Buninyong and a small area called Cobbledicks Ford form a shadow image of the Southern Cross here in Victoria. I am trying to find out more about the Koori thoughts on these areas but haven't had much success. Anyway thought you may be interested. Take care, Chris

Well thank you Chris! I looked up Oasis Anu Ta on Google and found it is a "landscape temple" and former retreat centre built at the intersection of these ley lines. Founder John Koch writes: “It is well known that indigenous people have an association with certain places which have a special spiritual significance. Some of these sites have cultural significance, but others have a wider planetary purpose. As the human body has its energy centres, such as chakras and meridian or acupuncture points, which regulate the functions of the endocrine systems and energy flows that maintain a healthy body, so does the Earth as a living organism have a network of corresponding power centres. The traditional races knew of these, and maintained them with their ceremonies and attunement to the divine power they associated with them. The neglect and abuse of these centres over the last few thousand years has brought about disruption of natural energy flows around the planet coinciding with tremendous environmental imbalance and human conflict. Many people are now recognising the importance of these energy centres and are striving to re- activate them. The sites act as doorways for ancient earth energies to awaken, and for cosmic energies to become grounded. Human consciousness, where it is aware of these expanded realities in such places, is able to act as a bridge for high frequency light energies to connect with planet earth and raise its vibration.”

If any of you have any further information about ley lines and sacred sites in Australia that you think others might find interesting, please write to me at stellaw@ozemail.com.au

Jupiter into Taurus (Part Two)

Sensuality, Stability & Sustainability

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, entered earth sign Taurus in early June bringing an expanded awareness of the beauty and fragility of life on planet earth. In astrology Jupiter represents our yearning for meaning in life and our desire for expansion and growth. But Jupiter‟s true purpose is to inspire us to embrace a belief system that gives meaning to life. Jupiter will remain in Taurus until the middle of 2012. Here are my predictions.

Sustainable Growth
Many astrologers believe that the shift of Jupiter into Taurus heralds a time of more sustainable growth. Rapid growth as an economic model is clearly unsustainable over the long term as we have a limited amount of water, space, oil and arable land. We could see constructive moves to curb world population growth and more open debate on this issue.

The Importance of Stability
Even though we cannot blame Jupiter in Aries (sign of the warrior) for the public demonstrations against corrupt governments around the world, the fiery Martian energy has certainly been a contributing factor in pushing people to revolt. Jupiter reached perihelion (the closest point to the Sun in its 12 year cycle) in March this year and since then its pace has slowed a little. As Jupiter shifts into Taurus one important keyword is „stability‟ – ideas and inspiration that took hold under the Arian influence now have the chance to take root and flower. We can easily see this pattern in countries like Tunisia and Egypt and their newly formed democracies, but what about in our own lives? Jupiter in Taurus offers us the chance to stabilise and consolidate whatever we began in the last 12 months. Can we make a living out of it? Do we have pleasure doing it? Is it creative enough?

Farming & Food
With Jupiter in Taurus we can expect moves towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices; more debate around food production and food shortages coupled with a growing interest in the quality of food we eat and where it comes from. More people will buy organic and local produce, eat less meat and start growing their own food. Over the past month we have already had two major farming crises – firstly public exposure of how cruelly Australian cattle have been treated prior to slaughter (the symbol for Taurus is the bull) resulting in cessation of live exports to Indonesia and secondly an outbreak of e-coli in Europe resulting in dozens of deaths with hundreds of others suffering kidney failure, epilepsy and paralysis.

Real Estate & Finance
Taurus, the sign of physical security and comfort, is strongly linked to real estate and bricks and mortar investment. We have been forced into a more conservative and realistic approach to saving, investment, lending and borrowing since the global financial crisis, but Jupiter in Taurus hints at greater stability and improvement in the finance and real estate sector, especially when Jupiter forms a favourable angle to Pluto in Capricorn in October 2011 and March 2012.

Fashion & Beauty
With Venus goddess of beauty and sensuality ruling Taurus, look out for increased expenditure on fashion, beauty, home furnishings and luxury items of all kinds. Looking good translates to feeling good and that‟s what Taurus is all about. Skin care products will be especially popular and those who run hairdressing salons, spas and massage parlours can expect lots of new clients. In tune with the „earth‟ theme of Taurus there will be a love of quality natural fibres and environmentally friendly products.

Featured Sign - Virgo

The Sun travels through earth sign Virgo from 23rd August until 23rd September, the spring equinox. Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac with keywords “I discern” and “I seek order. Virgo‟s symbol is the Virgin, the independent woman who answered to no man, but served the Goddess herself. Born to serve and heal, Virgos are noted for their calm demeanour, attention to detail, healing energies, love of nature and mastery of art and craft. When in balance, they are one of the most practical, kind-hearted and caring zodiac signs with an intuitive understanding of the mind- body connection. Usually blessed with fine minds, they are masters of research, data and language. Negatively, the Virgo individual can suffer from hypochondria, be over-critical, especially of self, highly-strung and prone to permanent worry and anxiety. Virgo rules the abdomen, intestines, spleen and central nervous system. When Virgos are out of balance they can suffer from nervous problems and digestive disorders. Meditation, relaxation, gentle stretching, nourishing food and time in nature will help Virgo stay centred. The Virgo colours are earthy tones, green and dark brown. Virgo‟s greatest lesson is to learn to be perfectly imperfect and accept imperfection in self and others.

Key Astrological Events – September

A 240m crop circle composed of 409 circles. Milk Hill, England, 2001

Mercury heads back into ruling sign Virgo on the 9th signalling the completion of the retrograde cycle that began in early August. Although Mercury turned direct in late August it is not until the 10th September that the planet reaches the point where it first stationed before starting to move backwards. In practical terms this means that the insights and information that have surfaced over the past month can be integrated into everyday experience in a conscious manner. Mercury will be in Virgo from the 9th-26th when the planet moves into air sign Libra. September is therefore a good time for any of the following activities: editing, writing, revising, filing, organising, planning, gardening, manual work, spring cleaning and any activities designed to improve your diet, health or wellbeing.

The September full moon falls on the 12th in sensitive water sign Pisces bringing more information to consciousness. The Sabian Symbol for this full moon shows a woman opening two dark curtains concealing the entrance to a sacred pathway. Life can be seen as a series of decisions and choices that are viewed by the logical mind as either right or wrong, but this full moon asks us trust our feelings and intuition and plunge into the unknown. Coming hot on the heels of the recent Mercury retrograde transit many will find themselves embarking on new „sacred pathways‟ never even envisaged a few short weeks ago.

Mid September looks promising for personal and business relationships with Venus moving into home sign Libra on the 15th and Mars into fiery Leo on the 19th. Venus is the planet of pleasure, beauty, self-indulgence and romance, so any activities designed to make you feel good or improve your love life are favoured. Plan a weekend away with your partner or invest in a new spring wardrobe or trip to the hairdressers. Mars in Leo invokes passion and energy and pushes us to be the best we can be. Mars will be in Leo until mid November, bringing two months of fire energy to get projects off the ground and display our talents. This transit is particularly favourable for performers and for the fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

The September new moon in air sign Libra on the 27th comes just days after the spring equinox. The Sabian Symbol for this new moon shows a group of young people sitting round a campfire discussing their vision for a new future. We can link this symbol to the Pisces full moon message of trusting our feelings and plunging into the unknown. Communion with like-minded people is vital in birthing new possibilities and ways of being. This new moon asks you to unite with kindred spirits who share your vision rather than going it alone. The camp fire provides the warmth and sense of community that working with others can bring.

September Moon Calendar

Launch projects at the New Moon, bring them to completion in the period from just before the Full Moon to the Third Quarter phase and wind them down and reflect on developments in the week before the next New Moon. The period between the New Moon and the Full Moon is the waxing moon (moon getting bigger and fuller). The period between the Full Moon and the New Moon is the waning moon (moon getting smaller and thinner).

You can use this moon table to select the most favourable days to slow or increase hair regrowth. Full instructions can be found in my Lunar Hair Care guidelines at www.stellastarwoman.com/files/LunarHairCare.pdf but to get you started I've marked the best dates for waxing/shaving to slow regrowth in yellow and the best dates to cut hair for thicker, lusher growth in green. If you‟re serious about Lunar Hair Care - order your own Moon Calendar from the Stella Starwoman Store then you'll know exactly what time of day the moon changes from one zodiac sign to the next.
