Chinese New Year 2012 - The Water Dragon

By Stella Woods, 01-01-2012

The Chinese Year of the Water Dragon begins on the 23rd January at the Aquarian new moon. Those born in 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988 and 2000 are all born in the Year of the Dragon.

In Eastern philosophy, the Dragon is said to be a deliverer of good fortune and to possess natural authority. Those born in the Year of the Dragon are the free spirits of the zodiac and always command attention, honour and respect. Charismatic, enthusiastic, brilliant and confident, Dragons aim high and usually succeed.

To welcome in the Year of the Water Dragon, it’s a good idea to declutter your home, office or shop. Remove anything that is broken or that you don't like or never use. Get rid of unwanted possessions hidden in drawers or cupboards by selling them or giving them away. These things energetically and emotionally drag you down and keep you from moving forward. You will be amazed how good you will feel when you remove all this 'old stuff' from your life.

2012 will be a year when Dragons can really shine, both personally and professionally and overcome any recent setbacks or obstacles. For the rest of us, the Year of the Dragon is a chance to display our own brilliance. The Dragon is the fifth of the twelve animal signs of the Chinese zodiac.
