HEALTH, WEALTH & LOVE WITH A COSMIC TWIST
If you’ve visited my website recently, you’ll have seen a big ad on the front page “Free Phone Ins” I’m planning four of these one-hour Phone-Ins, with the first one taking place on Thursday 27th March at 7pm Melbourne time. Anyone is welcome to listen in, either by phone or on line. I’ll be talking about how to use Astrology and Mindset to improve the three areas of life that most of us are interested in – Finances, Love Life and Health. I’ll also be answering questions submitted by those taking part in the Phone-In – that could be you!
For more details or to register for the calls and submit your questions, just go to www.stellastarwoman.com and follow the prompts. This is the first time I’ve tried anything like this, so I’m pretty excited.
EASTER & THE PASCHAL MOON
Did you know that Easter Sunday always falls on the Sunday after the first full moon of the northern hemisphere spring? This full moon is known as the Paschal Moon and also marks Pesach, the Hebrew name for Passover. Because Jesus was crucified on a Friday and resurrected the following Sunday during the eight day Jewish holiday of Passover (the first eight days after the first full moon of spring) Christians take the Paschal Moon, the equinox and the Julian calendar to fix the date of Easter, which varies from year to year. Good Friday this year falls on the 21st March and Easter Sunday on the 23rd. The 2008 Paschal Full Moon is on Easter Saturday in the sign of Libra. This year’s equinox (day and night are of equal length) is on 20th March.
MARCH ASTRO ENERGIES
Many will have found the last three months frustrating, with the Mars and Mercury retrograde transits slowing things up, bringing disappointment, cancellations and unexpected failure. Some will have learned important lessons about what is truly important and refocused their energy in this direction. Some will have left previously important relationships or jobs. Others will be licking their wounds. Whatever your situation, March offers the opportunity to get things moving again. This movement will arise more through a shift in understanding, rather than a rush to action. With no planets in the optimistic fire signs for the first three weeks of March, practical considerations are to the fore. Aquarius is the dominant energy for the first half of the month with no less than five planets in the sign of the Water Bearer.
Aquarius brings fresh ideas and insight plus the desire to make the world a better place. A T-square between Mars, Pallas and Pluto over the same period will awaken the inner warrior, which on a practical level means you’ll be ready to fight or argue your cause. If you’re feeling angry or aggressive, plan your battle carefully!
The March new moon falls on the 8th in water sign Pisces conjunct erratic and brilliant Uranus. The Pisces new moon is normally a quiet, introspective time, but with all the Aquarian forces buzzing around I think we can expect an inspired burst of humanitarian or spiritual energy. On a collective level this could be new funding for medical, scientific or technological projects. On a personal level this new moon would be a great time to work on dream boards, vision quests and other similar projects designed to awaken the imagination to what is possible.
The Easter long weekend could be challenging with powerful Mars and Pluto forming a grand cross with the Aries Sun and Libra full moon. In fact the whole of the subsequent week is charged with pent-up energy. Compromise will be difficult, but absolutely necessary if you don’t want a full-blown fight on your hands.
LETTER OF THE MONTH – FROM SHARON MCGANN
Hi Stella,
Hooray, thanks for doing the hair thing – I used to buy an annual Astrology booklet by Milton Black expressly for that purpose. I will look forward to seeing how well my hair goes in the next few months and as for leg waxing that’s great both for me and my triathlete husband. Of course the stars are always welcome – I have been having a hard time lately and have found some comfort in knowing that a lot of people are going through stuff. But overall life is still good. I have forwarded your stars on to two Aquarians, just to see their responses.
Cheers, Sharon McGann
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PISCES
From the 19th February to the 20th March, the Sun travels through mutable water sign Pisces, noted for her dreaminess, escapist nature and love of fantasy. Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac with keywords, “I merge” and “I seek redemption”. With Pisces, the inner self is preparing for retreat from the world and as the ego dissolves, boundaries are weakened and impressionability and sensitivity increases. Pisceans are versatile and adaptable, gentle and compassionate. They are often psychic and highly attuned to the spiritual plane. Those born under the sign of the Fishes excel as counsellors, healers, actors, artists and musicians. Many are attracted to the fashion and movie industries. At best they serve humanity and practice unconditional love. Negatively, Pisceans can be victims and martyrs, known for self-sabotage or self-sacrifice. There is also a tendency to rescue or ‘save’ others. In medical astrology, Pisces rules the toes, feet and lymphatic system. There is sometimes a reflex effect on the abdominal region governed by opposite sign, Virgo. When Pisceans are out of balance they often suffer from foot trouble, intestinal diseases and fluid build up. Addiction to drugs and alcohol is also common. The Pisces colours are sea green, purple and the various shades of blue. Pisces’s greatest lesson is to learn discrimination and to protect and ground themselves.
So how do you handle a Piscean? Don’t rush or organise them. Avoid being overly logical. Pour them a drink. Be kind and gentle. Then pour them another drink….
HEAR STELLA ON TALKBACK RADIO
For the past five years, I’ve been the guest on an astrology talkback segment on Melbourne’s 3RRR radio station. Several of you have written asking when you can hear me on air, so I thought I’d publish the dates for you. If you’re in Greater Melbourne, it’s easy to tune in and the program is also available on streaming audio via the 3RRR website www.rrr.org.au (but only while the show is being broadcast). I start with a brief run down of what’s happening in the stars that week, then the lines open for talkback callers asking questions about astrology and how it affects their lives. Anyone is welcome to call in on (03) 9388 1027.
Upcoming shows: Wednesday 5th March (9-10 am) & Wednesday 19th March (9-10 am) Midweek Crisis - Melbourne’s 3RRR 102.7 FM - hosted by Kealy Smith
