With Mars now moving forward again, the pace of life is beginning to speed up, but on 2nd March 2025, Mars’s partner planet Venus turns retrograde.
For the next six weeks (2nd March to 13th April) Venus will travel backwards through Aries and Pisces offering the chance to reassess the value of people, possessions and things in our lives and detach from relationships and activities that no longer serve.
When Venus is retrograde, others instinctively sense our true motives and allegiances, especially in personal relationships. You may find that people suddenly reappear in your life - old friends, ex- lovers, estranged family members or former work colleagues/partners. What have they come to teach you? What aspects of yourself will be revealed or rekindled through these encounters? Venus retrograde is also a common time for break-ups, reconciliations or for forging a new path in life.
Life is not static and the Venus retrograde period is an opportunity to be honest about who and what is important to you, so you can move forward with confidence and commitment, while honouring the choices of others.
As Venus travels backwards through the zodiac she’ll meet up with the Moon (2nd March), Mercury (11th March), the Sun (23rd March), Neptune (27th March) the North Node (1st April) and finally Saturn (7th April). A bit like visiting all your relatives to check in on them. In practical terms, this means all aspects and kinds of relationships will be examined, both good and bad.
